Tennis
The Indo-Malaysian duo that had made the semifinals of doubles in the first tournament as well, had earlier beaten Xavier Audouy of France and Adam Chadaj of Poland 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the second round. Mustafa Ghouse, in partnership with Philip Marx of Germany, had also made the semifinals, but the duo conceded the match to the second-seeded Jonathan Marray and David Sherwood of Britain, as the German was sick. The fourth-seeded Mustafa and Marx had beaten Musad Al Jazzaf of Kuwait and Omar Bahrouzyan of Qatar 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
