Warning to media

By Our Special Correspondent

Chennai April 11. In a stern warning to the media today, the Speaker, K. Kalimuthu, today declared that scribes ``recording'' the statements of Opposition MLAs within the Assembly complex would be barred from covering House proceedings.

When Left party members, who walked out of the House, stayed on in the lobby and loudly protested, a few reporters rushed there. Immediately, the Speaker not only asked the watch and ward staff to remove them but sent out a warning to the scribes. ``If the MLAs, who walk out or are evicted, give an interview to the media within the Assembly complex, the reporters should not record it. In case they record, I warn, a situation will arise wherin they will not be allowed into the Assembly.''
