Thimme Gowda transferred

Bangalore April 11. The Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety, T.Thimme Gowda, has been transferred and appointed Special Officer of the newly formed Cauvery Niravari Nigam Ltd., Bangalore.

Mr. Gowda, who belongs to the 1983 batch of the IAS, had taken stern measures to put down corruption and improve efficiency in the Transport Department.

He will now have to organise the Cauvery Niravari Nigam, whose formation was announced in the State Budget by the Chief Minister, S.M.Krishna.

The Government is yet to appoint a new Commissioner for Transport.

The other postings are: R.G.Nadadur, awaiting posting, has been posted as Member-Secretary, Revenue Reforms Commission, Bangalore. Renuka Chidambaram has been appointed Additional Resident Commissioner at Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi.

Parmesh Pandey, Officer on Special Duty, Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project, Bangalore, has been appointed Chief Editor, Karnataka Gazetteer, Bangalore. S.G.Hegde, awaiting posting, has been posted as Additional Director, Food and Civil Supplies, Bangalore.
