Godhra carnage accused remanded

AHMEDABAD April 11. An accused in the Godhra train carnage, Sayed Abdul Sattar, has been remanded under the Prevention of Terrorist Activities Act (POTA) to eight days' police custody by a special court.

Sattar was arrested in Mumbai on Wednesday in a joint operation by the Mumbai police and the special investigating team of Gujarat police. He was a transporter based in Mumbai and originally hailing from Godhra.
