Delimitation panel gives time to members

NEW DELHI APRIL 7. The Delimitation Commission has granted time to associate members from Andhra Pradesh to submit their proposals by May 19. It acceded to their request for time, to submit their proposals with regard to recarving boundaries of assembly and parliamentary constituencies and identification of reserved seats.

The TDP leaders, K. Yerran Naidu and M. Jaganath, said the Commission would prepare a working paper and convene a meeting with them for formal discussions. The delegation of MPs and MLAs from Andhra Pradesh met the Chairman of the Delimitation Commission, Justice Kuldip Singh. The delegation included K.E. Krishnamurthy, N. Janardhan Reddy, A.P. Jitender Reddy, K. Prakasa Rao, N. Siva Prasad, Uma Maheshwar Rao, P. Lakshmaiah and A. Ramnarain Reddy.
