Chandrika, Goh in Delhi

NEW DELHI April 7. The Sri Lankan President, Chandrika Kumaratunga, and the Singapore Prime Minister, Goh Chok Tong, arrived here tonight for talks with the Indian leaders. Mr. Goh's meetings and engagements are slated for tomorrow, while Ms. Kumaratunga's meetings are on April 9 and 10.

With regard to Singapore, the main item on the agenda will be the presentation of a report prepared by the Indo-Singapore Joint Study Group on the feasibility of concluding a Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) between the two countries. As far as the Sri Lankan President is concerned, the focus of the talks is likely to be on the current state of the peace process in the island nation, and Ms. Kumaratunga's views on its future.
