Letters to the Editor
Sir, This is with reference to the Insight `Does no one care anymore' ( April 6 ) by Anjali Modi and Sandeep Dikshit. One reason many Indians do not care much for the war could be the horrific proxy war that has been inflicted on India itself in Kashmir and elsewhere. For instance, if a massacre of the scale of Nadimarg took place in Quebec, Canada, nothing else would be reported in their media. The Iraq war and the protests against it would be relegated to the back pages of newspapers or the closing minutes of a TV/radio news broadcast. Varun Shekhar, Ontario, Canada
