The two clubs tied the table with 10 points, but the Kolkata team topped the group with a better goal average pushing back the Goa team to second spot. The top two teams from the group will join the best two teams from group A at Thiruvananthapuram to complete the `round two' line-up, the venue of which is yet to be decided. The four teams will now play a round-robin league to decide two teams qualifying to the elite group of the National Football League. Among the other teams in the Group B who failed to make the next grade Kerala's Titanium Club (third, 8 points) and Punjab Police, relegated from the elite stage last season failed miserably in their bid to regain the spot finishing fourth with six points. Allwyn Hindustan Club, Delhi, tallied four points while Manipur Police netted only one point to finish last. Group B final position: Mohammedan Sporting 5-3-2-0-13-1-11, Haywards Sporting 5-3-2-0-13-6-11, Titanium Club 5-2-2-1-9-10-8, Punjab Police 5-2-0-3-7-8-6, Hindustan Club 5-1-1-3-5-9-4, Manipur Police 5-0-1-4-4-17-1.
