Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Government has been saying that it would encourage small industries and small entrepreneurs, especially women. But it has not taken any step in that direction. For the last three years, there has been no assessment of the SSIs. The usual practice of awarding those who have excelled in that area has been given the go-by. There have been no attempts to encourage small entrepreneurs. This is more so in the case of women. E.P. Indumathi, Chennai
