Fans rejoice

Durban March 21. ``Kenya for supper, Aussies for breakfast'' — this was one of the many victory banners that Indian fans waved at New Kingsmead Stadium last night when India scored a 91-run victory over Kenya to cruise in to the World Cup final for the first time in 20 years.

In addition to the posters and banners proclaiming India's victory not only in the semis but also in the final against Australia on Sunday, some of the Indian national fans dressed themselves in different cultural attires of India with one spectator appearing as `Lord Krishna' while other depicting `Ravana'.

They rejoiced, sang and danced and now the thousands of Indian nationals following the team and local people of Indian origin are looking eagerly to the final against the Australians in Johannesburg on Sunday

One of the local fans who took his entire family to the Thursday night's match, Dr Roshan Ganesh, said India won easily against the Kenyans but against the Australians they would have to be at their `very best'.

``They crushed the Kenyans but I don't think India will have it easy against the Aussies'', he said. — PTI
