Katara case takes new turn

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI MARCH. 5. What the owner of a banquet hall has testified in court about preparation of the site plan of the spot from where Nitish Katara was allegedly kidnapped by Vikash Yadav and his cousin Vishal Yadav goes against the police statement of Bharat Diwakar at whose instance the site plan had been prepared.

Deposing before the Additional Sessions Judge, S.N. Dhingra, on Tuesday, Sandeep Goyal, owner of the banquet hall, submitted that no one came to his hall for preparing the site plan.

Now the deposition of Mr. Goyal would be compared with that of Mr.Bharat Diwakar who is yet to depose in the matter in the trial court.

It was inadvertently mentioned in these columns on Wednesday that Bharat Diwakar was examined by counsel for Vikas Yadav, K.N. Balagopal.

The case is scheduled to come up on Thursday for recording of statements by prosecution witnesses.
