According to the police, the incident which took place at a flat in Vikaskunj Society in Vikaspuri, came to light around 3-15 p.m. The owner of the flat, Sunil Katyal, and his wife had gone out around 1-15 p.m. A resident of the society spotted that the lock of the house was broken and informed the owners. The family claimed that the burglars managed to escape with huge amounts of cash and jewellery. The residents of the society also claimed that on Monday night burglars struck at three shops located in the society market. The shutters of the shops were broken into and cash was missing from them. Even a week ago, the burglars had struck in Vikaskunj Apartments. Vikaspuri police have registered a case and are investigating further.
