Syndicate Bank cuts home loan rates

CHENNAI: Syndicate Bank has lowered the interest rates on housing loans, Synd Nivas, with effect from February 1. With this reduction, the floating rates on housing loans touched 8.5 per cent annually. The floating rate for loans up to 5 years is 8.5 per cent and on a fixed rate basis 8.75 per cent; 5-10 years 9.25 per cent (fixed 9.50 per cent) and 10-20 years 9.5 per cent (9.75 per cent).
