dated February 19, 1953: New Buildings for AIR, Madras

Work had begun on new buildings to house All India Radio, Madras, adjacent to the Inspector-General of Police's office on the Marina.

Expected to cost over a lakh of rupees, they were expected to be partly ready within four months. When completed, the project would house modern recording studios, administrative offices, and the wing publishing the radio journal Indian Listener, etc.,
