Singapore President arrives

NEW DELHI JAN. 3. The President of Singapore, S.R. Nathan, arrived here today for a nine-day visit. Apart from reviewing bilateral ties, Mr. Nathan will also be visiting Indian institutions, which have gained world-class acclaim in the field of information technology.

Mr. Nathan will have a meeting with the President, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha, will call on him.

Apart from the official engagements here, the Singapore President and his delegation will visit the information technology industry's `golden triangle' in south India.

He will tour Infosys headquarters and the IT Park in Bangalore, Hitech City and the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad and the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
