CD-ROM on viable projects

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Jan. 3. The Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion(K-BIP) is bringing out a CD-ROM on viable projects and a guide for small scale industrial sector in the State.

According to Industry Secretary, Ajay Kumar, the CD-ROM would be an ideal reference for potential and existing entrepreneurs in the SSI sector in the State. He said that the CD-ROM has been prepared as part of the various efforts taken by the Government for the development of SSIs and the food processing sector.

Mr Ajay Kumar said that the National Centre for HACCP certification (NCHC), launched recently, has designed and developed an exclusive Web site, www. haccpindia.org. The Centre is associated with K-BIP, the nodal agency for the State Government for HACCP certification. An official logo for the NCHC has also been designed. The data base created through the official website of the Industry Department, www.keralaindustry.org, has been transformed into a product directory in which products and industries have been listed sector-wise and product-wise. The facility is available free of cost to any interested party.
