Veereshwer Dwivedi, spokesperson of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, New Delhi, writes: In the issue of December 18 last your respected daily published a news in reference to a press conference of Dr. Praveen Bhai Togadia that all those who opposed Hindutva would get the "death sentence". "In this regard we want to clarify that the so-called statement of Dr. Togadia was an out of context quote. He did not make this statement on his own. While answering the question of a correspondent whether he was not poisoning the cancer in society, Dr. Togadia said that if society would hold him responsible for poisoning the cancer in society, it would ultimately give him the death sentence. But, on the other hand, if it held responsible Hindu opponents for poisoning society, it would also give them the death sentence".
