Anganwadi workers' fast

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM DEC. 30. The Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association organised a fast before the Secretariat today to press their demands, which include immediate sanctioning of the honorarium announced by the Centre, abandoning of the privatisation move, improvement of the basic facilities of anganwadis, ending of grading system, implementation of pension scheme and toning up of the welfare scheme. The fast was inaugurated by the State general secretary of the CITU, P. K. Gurudasan.
