Commenting on a report in the The News on Monday, the sources said that the visit would not come as a surprise to India as Moscow had been keeping Delhi briefed on its interaction with Islamabad. The sources cautioned against expecting any extraordinary results from Gen. Musharraf's talks in Moscow. The Russian side wants Pakistan to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure on its territory before it can hope for a breakthrough in relations between the two countries. Gen. Musharraf's visit has been hanging fire since June, when the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, met the Pakistani leader on the sidelines of a regional security conference in Kazakhstan.
