'Togadia, PM have similar views'

GORAKHPUR DEC. 27. The Samajwadi Party president, Mulayam Singh Yadav, today said there was no difference between the statements made by the VHP leader, Praveen Bhai Togadia, and the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on the issue of establishing Hindu Rashtra in the country.

``While Mr. Togadia said the country would become a Hindu Rashtra within two years, Mr. Vajpayee stated that the Hindus were already in majority and had the power with them in India", Mr. Yadav told a public meeting here. Democratic norms might be sacrificed to ``clandestinely'' establish Hindu Rashtra, he said.

The Samajwadi Party president said Mr. Vajpayee and the Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf, ``were clinging to power at the cost of their respective nations' interests and were responsible for all the problems faced by the two countries.''
