Discipline in party is important: Soni

By Our Special Correspondent

KOCHI Dec. 27. The AICC observer for Kerala affairs, Ambika Soni, has said that discipline is important if there has to be progress in the party.

She was airing this view at an informal chat with a group of reporters from the electronic media at the ongoing State leaders' camp organised by the KPCC at the Maria Park named after Rajiv Gandhi, today.

She said that the criticism raised by the senior leader, K. Karunakaran, would be taken in the proper spirit and efforts would be made to rectify any shortcomings if brought to the attention of the high command. ``Criticism is good, but that should be within the party fora, the leadership camp is an excellent opportunity to discuss threadbare issues concerning the party,'' she pointed out.

The KPCC camp is an unique one in that it is expected to give an opportunity to the middle level leaders to exchange notes. While the legislators and MPs have ample opportunity, the office-bearers at the DCC level rarely get such a chance to interact with State-level leaders at a common platform.
