CIFCO ties up with BOBCards

CHENNAI DEC. 27. Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company (Cifco) has tied up with BOBCards, a subsidiary of Bank of Baroda, for issuing exclusive `Chola-BOBCards' credit cards to customers of its vehicle finance division.

The cards are affiliated to MasterCard International.

Addressing presspersons here today M. Anandan, Managing Director of Cholamandalam, said the pre-approved chola-BOBCards would be issued to the customers who had availed of 4-wheeler and 2-wheeler finance from Cifco.

"The tie up with BOBCards provides us the ability to seamlessly offer a high quality product to our rapidly growing customer base across the country," he said.

Both Cifco and BOBCards would share information on the credit history of the card-holders, enabling both companies not only to enhance their credit management practices but also to offer additional custom-made products and services, Mr. Anandan said.

According to C. B. Chhaya, Managing Director, BOBCards "BOBCards is looking forward to significantly increasing its penetration in the credit card market through this exclusive arrangement with a reliable and fast-growing partner like Cifco." He said

BOBCards had a strong presence with major share of the business and largest among all public sector banks, having the largest merchant base spread all over the country.
