The Chief Minister, who took great personal interest in ensuring that the Games were held in the best-ever manner, will also present the cash incentives of Rs.3 lakhs for gold, Rs.2 lakhs for silver and Rs.1 lakh for bronze medallists. It is said that Mr. Naidu was very keen that the efforts of the athletes were duly recognised in a befitting manner for enabling the State to top the medals tally with an unprecedented 94 gold, 84 silver and 63 bronze and directed all the officials concerned to make the function equally impressive and memorable. The exact date will be announced in a couple of days.
