Indian wins Russian award

MOSCOW DEC. 23. An Indian official has been awarded a Russian prize for his contribution to forging commercial ties between the two countries. N.K. Sethi, Resident Director, Indian Trade Promotion Organisation, in Moscow, has won the Peter the Great International Prize, instituted by ``The Best Managers of the New Age'' public foundation.

The award, a golden steering wheel, was given to Mr. Sethi for his ``significant personal contribution to development of economic cooperation between Russia and India.''

The prize committee is headed by the eminent Russian economist, Leonid Abalkin, and the Chairman of the Upper House International Affairs Committee, Mikhail Margelov.
