Numeric executing projects for Power Grid

CHENNAI DEC. 23. UPS manufacturer and power electronic company, Numeric Power Systems, is executing two major projects with Power Grid Corporation (PGCIL) for providing auxiliary power systems package in the North East and the Western region.

At the annual general meeting of shareholders here on Saturday last it was informed that the company had recently launched `Numeric Digital HP series UPS' built with advanced digital technology and intelligent monitoring options from remote computer networks. Available in five power ratings and 20 different models, these products were in good demand, according to R. Veeramani, chairman of the company. The company has also started an exclusive manufacturing facility and working ahead on external growth into other countries.

The `Digital 500 series' launched for the SOHO market with more new features has been well received.

The company has teamed up with MGE UPS Systems of France and recorded a good market share of projects from IT majors such as Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, IBM and Lucent Technologies and major nationalised banks and insurance companies.
