Sir, __ Since the lawyers' community is part and parcel of the legal system of administration, the question arises can the Supreme Court take suo motu proceedings on "contempt of court" against lawyers? If yes, how to implement it against so vast a number of defendants? If not, as a layman, I am in a fix where will the litigants go for justice? What about the tall talk of our politicians that India is the biggest democracy in the world? This dispute within the judiciary is a big blow to our `democracy'. Therefore, it is high time we worked out a fool-proof legal system so that similar situations may not recur. A.B. Biswas, Chennai
