Togadia's speech

Sir, — The Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader, Praveen Togadia's statement that all Hindutva opponents will get the death sentence is a libel against our Constitution and he has to be considered a terrorist. Such a statement will add fuel to the fire of communalism and will be a threat to the internal security of the nation.

The Government should take immediate measures to suppress such acts, under POTA if necessary.

S. Arul Joseph,

Madurai, T.N.

Sir, — Mr. Togadia has warned of "death sentence" to the opponents of Hindutva.

Of late, he has acquired notoriety for exhibiting naked intolerance towards religious minorities and secularists.

His rantings well compare with the activities of the Taliban, who habitually pass "fatwa".

D. Sekar Annadurai,

Coimbatore, T.N.
