United Christmas celebrations

Hyderabad Dec. 16. For the 24th year, united Christmas celebrations will be organised by all Catholic and Protestant denominations in the State at Public Gardens here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, will be the chief guest.

The highlights of this year's celebrations include the Nativity Play depicting the birth of Christ by Holy Mary High School, cultural events by Vijay Marie Nursing School and Amruthavani, a multi-media Catholic wing and Carol singing by Top Choirs of the twin cities.

Giving this information at a press conference here on Monday, G. Alfred, James Sylvester, P. Ramamohan Roy and G. Obadiah, chairman, vice-chairman, general secretary and treasurer respectively of the United Christmas Celebrations Committee said that the Chief Minister would cut the Christmas cake. Santa Claus would distribute gifts among children. A huge Christmas tree would be erected on the occasion. The Christmas message would be delivered by Rt. Rev. B. P. Sugandhar, deputy moderator, Church of South India, and bishop of Medak.
