The city witnessed a partially cloudy day and the maximum here settled at 20.8 degrees Celsius (C) while the low was recorded at 11.2 C. The minimum at Srinagar was also a bone chilling 2.1 C while Jammu saw the low settle at 14.2 C, the Met Office said, adding that snow in upper reaches of Himachal and rain at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana was likely over the next few days. ``A western distrubance over Jammu and Kashmir is moving eastwards in the next few days. After that temperatures are likely to drop and we may have some snowfall in the upper reaches and showers in the plains,'' Director of the Meteorological Department S C Bhan told PTI. In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum of 22.2 C today while Hisar had a pleasant day at 25.6 C. The minimum at these places was recorded at 9.0 C and 10.1 C, respectively. The high at Amritsar was recorded at 24.8 C and the low was recorded at 8.8 C. Ludhiana had a high of 22.8 C and a low of 10.9 C. Patiala received some light showers and the maximum there settled at 22.0 C while the low was recorded at 10.5 C. Shimla recorded a high of 14.5 C and a low of 10.0 C. The maximum at Bhuntar and Sundernagar settled at 17.5 C and 19.1 C while the two towns recorded near similar lows of five degrees Celsius. Dharamsala with a low of 5.1 C, Una 4.3 C and Kalpa 3.0 C were other cooler places in Himachal Pradesh. -- PTI
