Triple gold for Vikas

Hyderabad Dec. 16. Gymnast Vikas Pandey of Uttar Pradesh added two more gold medals to the one that he won on Monday for a golden triple in the National Games here today.

His second gold came in floor exercise where he tallied 9.075 points. A. Sapata Chandra of Andhra Pradesh won a silver (8.850) and M. Shinoj (8.350) the bronze. Vikas made it a hat-trick in the pommel horse event where he tallied 9.300 points, B. N. Shiv Kumar of Andhra Pradesh the silver (8.600). Mayank Srivastava, also of UP and Vishal Despandey of Maharashtra shared the bronze after logging 8.475 points each. — PTI
