From the Editorials: "The Calcutta Test match that ended in a draw on Monday brought to an end a series of five contests between India and Pakistan which saw some good deeds on, and many pleasant exchanges off, the cricket field. Abdul Hafeez Kardar and his men played the game well throughout; if they have lost the rubber, they can take heart from the fact that they have not disgraced themselves but pressed India hard in many ways. In bowling, the honours must go for consistency and success to Fazal Mahmood who incidentally helped Pakistan to draw the Calcutta Test with a good stand with Waqar Hasan. Congratulations are richly due to Amarnath, the Indian skipper, who has led India country to two (and very nearly three) victories as against one defeat... .''
