4 peacocks die

Alwar Dec. 16 . Four peacocks died while 10 were taken ill after they consumed poisonous feed at Sahadpur Ka Bag village in this district yesterday, police said today.

They fell sick after eating pesticide-mixed wheat with three of them succumbing on the spot, police here said. The director of a voluntary organisation, People for Animals, and a veterinary doctor, rushed to the village and brought the birds to a hospital at Khairthal. — UNI
