KSRTC service to Mumbai

BANGALORE Dec. 15. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Sunday introduced ``Volvo'' bus service from Bangalore to Mumbai.

The fare for the 18-hour journey is Rs.990. The bus reaches Mumbai via Davangere, Haveri, Hubli, Dharwar, Belgaum, Kolhapur and Pune.

Reservation facilities are available 10 days in advance at the Kempegowda Bus Station and through 92 computerised booking counters in various parts of the City. For passengers who have reserved seats at KSRTC reservation counters in advance, pick up facility is arranged from Koramangala, Jayanagar 4th and 9th blocks, Chamarajpet, South End Circle, Peenya and Kengeri reservation counters.

The KSRTC will operate special bus services to Sabarimala from Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore. The departure and arrival timings from Bangalore to Sabarimala are as follows: Dep - 1 p.m., arrival - 8 a.m. the next day; dep - 3 p.m., arr - 10 a.m.; dep - 5 p.m., arr - noon; dep - 7 p.m., arr - 2 p.m.; dep - 9 p.m., arr - 4 p.m.; dep - 10.30 p.m., arr - 5.30 p.m.
