The decision was based on the FIA observer's report. The approved APRC 2003 calendar is as follows: March 28-30: International Alpine Rally, Japan (subject to Rally Commission's decision); May 2-4: Canberra, Australia; June 6-8: New Caledonia; July 11-13: Rotorua, New Zealand; Sept. 12-14: Hokkaido, Japan; Oct. 11-13: Shaoguan, China; Oct. 31-Nov. 2: Thailand; Dec. 5-7: MRF India Rally. According to the FIA regulations, drivers registered for the APRC will have to compete in a minimum of three rallies in the Asian leg and two in the Pacific half.
