In the International Master Group B tournament Aarthie Ramaswamy is in line for her final WGM. In her eagerness to reach the target of 7.5 points, Aarthie drew with the black pieces after just 10 moves. FIDE Master Juergen Brustkern of Germany who is rated 17 Elo more than her accepted the early draw offer despite having the white pieces from a king's Indian attack opening. Aarthie continues to stay in second place in the 12-player tournament with five points from seven rounds. She needs 2.5 points from the last four rounds to make her WGM norm and title. FIDE Master Adam Popovics of Hungary is leading this section by a full point with six points from seven rounds. Popovics needs four draws for his IM norm. Ramesh's early draw offer on move 16 when he had a heavy asking rate was the surprise for the day. The short draw pushed Ramesh to second place in the standings and IM Peter Horvath of Hungary advanced into sole lead with five points. Horvath accounted for Woman FIDE Master Alexandra Dimitrijevic of Yugoslavia. Our Chess Correspondent
