Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
Junior doctors had launched the agitation on Thursday demanding withdrawal of Government Orders on compulsory Government service for Post-Graduates. The decision was taken following discussions with the Principal Health Secretary, Chaya Ratan, and the Director, Medical Education, R. S. Rama Devi, on Saturday afternoon. "After thorough discussions and acceptable assurances that the final orders regarding cancellation of G.O.s 202, 203 and 204 will be issued before November 23, the central committee of the APJDA decided to temporarily withdraw from the strike," the APJDA president, P. Srinivasan, and the general secretary, J. Navin Kumar, said in a statement. However, they clarified that the "APJDA reserves the right to act in a fitting manner if the demands are not met unconditionally by November 23, without any prior notice."
