DYFI to agitate for filling Govt. posts

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD Nov.16. The State Committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has demanded filling of two lakh vacant Government posts, giving postings to Girijan candidates selected through the 2002 DSC and a white paper on the implementation of the CMEY programme.

At a press conference here on Saturday, the DYFI State secretary, P.V. Srinivas, and the City secretary, J.K. Srinivas, said the organisation had decided to stage a dharna here on November 21 to voice its demand for filling vacant posts and sanctioning CMEY loans to all those found eligible.

They said 32 lakh persons were waiting for jobs after registering their names in the employment exchanges. Since the Chief Minister himself had recently conceded that the unemployment problem was serious, the Government should fill the vacant posts.
