Jammu & Kashmir
A SoG team raided the hideout and recovered 100 kg RDX, five IEDS, 49 IED circuits and a Chinese pistol with a silencer, the SSP Srinagar, R.R. Suhay, told reporters here this evening. But no arrests have been effected yet. Mr. Suhay said the cache of arms and ammunition including ready-to-use landmines suggested that militants were going to launch large-scale explosions across Srinagar city. The group behind the planned attacks had been identified and efforts are on to nab the culprits. The house-owner is however absconding. The other seizures included a wireless set, 1510 live rounds of AK-47 assault rifle, two AK-47 magazines and four Chinese grenades, he said. PTI
