Only three cholera patients are still under treatment, according to a press statement from the District Medical Officer, K. Shailaja. Cholera has claimed two lives so far. The new cases of cholera, include a six-month-old baby. The cases have been reported from Puthiyathura, Poovar and Poonthura. Incidence of new acute diarrhoeal cases registered a marked drop on Friday with only 15 cases reporting for treatment at various hospitals and health centres in the district.
