AAI may withdraw notice

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI NOV. 14. In a bid to come clean in the blame game that is expected to follow once flights begin to get delayed in the Capital due to fog, the Airports Authority of India now plans to withdraw its earlier notice on the non-availability of the Category IIIA version of the instrument landing system till December 11 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here.

At a meeting of top AAI officials today, sources said, a decision was taken to withdraw the notice as there was no technical hitch in the functioning of the ILS CATIIIA system. It is understood that system has been calibrated and authorities have obtained necessary clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
