Jayachandran remanded

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Nov. 14. The Thaniniram reporter, R. Jayachandran, the fourth accused in the intelligence letter forgery case who surrendered before the Crime Branch on Wednesday, was today produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), N. J. Jose, who remanded him in judicial custody.

The court will hear his bail application on Friday. The court heard the argument on the Crime Branch application seeking the police custody of Jayachandran for seven days. The CJM will pronounce his decision on the custody application on Friday. The CJM directed the jail authorities to give medical attention to Jayachandran, if required. Mr. Jayachandran, who reported sick, has been admitted to the special cell for remand prisoners at the Medical College Hospital.
