Intruder in Laloo's bedroom

PATNA NOV. 10. Security has been tightened around the Bihar Chief Minister, Rabri Devi's official residence after an ``unknown'' person sneaked into the bedroom of her husband and RJD chief, Laloo Prasad Yadav.

Arvind Kumar, a 50-year-old RJD activist from Bhojpur district had gained access to the Chief Minister's 1, Anne Marg residence by telling the securitymen on duty that the RJD chief had called him.

Mr. Laloo, who was fast asleep at the time, woke up with a start when he felt ``unfamiliar hands massaging him'' and was taken aback when he saw the intruder. He alerted the securitymen, but the trespasser sped away in his car parked outside the sprawling premises, he said.

Later, Mr. Laloo held a meeting with police top brass and reviewed the security arrangements. Arvind Kumar was subsequently arrested from his Rajendra Nagar residence.

The ASI, Special Branch, along with the security guards posted at the Chief Minister's residence has been suspended, sources said. — PTI
