The General Manager, BSNL, K. Manohar, on Sunday said a limited number of connections would be given in the first phase and the entire waitlist would be cleared in a short period. The BSNL had already issued prepaid connections. He said subscribers had to pay Rs. 1,051 for securing a connection under the Rs. 325 plan and Rs. 946 for the Rs. 225 plan. Incoming calls under the Rs. 325 plan were free. The airtime was free for STD calls made outside the State. For such calls, subscribers would pay only on par with STD rates of landline. National roaming was also free for the Rs. 325 plan, he added. Mr. Manohar said the postpaid service had many features like friend and family talk for three members at an additional cost of Rs. 75, virtual private network for five or more number of connections. Members of the network could call each other at no cost, but each member had to pay Rs. 150. Call waiting and CLI facility would be provided free of cost.
