Southern Spectrum TV awards

CHENNAI
SEPT. 25.
Television industry in the south got a boost today with the launch of the Southern Spectrum of the Hero Honda Indian Television Academy Awards 2002.
The Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards, which were given last year and covered a wide section of Hindi television serials, will now include all major awards in popular categories for southern language television serials also.
The Southern Spectrum ITA Awards is being organised in association with the Cinema Express, a publication of The New Indian Express (TNIE) Group.
"The ITA Awards presentation might even be held in Chennai next year," said the TNIE group brand manager, Sagar Mukhopadhyay.
The major awards are open to vote by reader nomination through publications of TNIE and www.indiavarta.com.
