The Madhapur police said that 11 students and a teacher suffered grievous injuries. A total of 61 students and two teachers of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan were returning to school from a picnic at Kondapur Botanical Garden. The Swathi Public School Correspondent, Phani Kumar, who was going on a scooter behind the bus and three constables -- Srinivas, Narsimha Reddy and Amar Singh -- who were present nearby, rushed to the scene and rescued the children. All the injured were shifted to Apollo hospital. They were: Sreshta, Rishika, K.V.S. Krishna, Hima Reddy, Nainisha, Yashaswi, Karthik, Sandeep Teja, Sai Prathik, Gnan Ranjan, Priya and Sreedevi (teacher).
