Children hospitalised for food poisoning

CHENNAI Sept. 6 . The inmates of a government home at Chitlapakkam including several children and elders were admitted to the Chromepet Government General Hospital today with symptoms of food poisoning.

According to police, the inmates were served with special breakfast sponsored by a private donor celebrating his wedding anniversary. All the children were safe and they were kept only for observation, doctors said. The Social Welfare Minister, B. Valarmathi, visited them.
