Call off yatra, say RJD MPs

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 6. Rashtriya Janata Dal MPs, including the former Union Minister, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, today held a demonstration here along with several party workers demanding the arrest of the VHP leader, Ashok Singhal, calling off the `gaurav rath yatra' and bringing Gujarat under Central rule. The MPs, including Ram Deo Bhandary, Prem Gupta and Vijay Singh Yadav, were joined by the Bihar Minister, Ramchandra Purve, in courting arrest at Parliament Street police station. Protesting the renewed attempt to rake up the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi's foreign origin, he said according to the Indian tradition, daughters-in-law were accepted as members of the family.
