Ban order in Pondy

Pondicherry Sept. 6. The Superintendent of Police, V. J. Chandran in charge of north wing of Pondicherry region said here today that a regulatory order under Police Act was enforced today and it would remain in force for 15 days till September 20. The imposition of the order covering the police limits of Grand Bazaar, Odiansalai, Muthialpet,Lawspet, Kalapet, D.Nagar, Orleanpet and Mettupalayam has become necessary in view of the celebration of the Vinayaka Chaturthi on September 10.
