Affiance to outsource hardware from India

KOLKATA SEPT. 6. Affiance Group LLC, a leading U.S.-based security and loss prevention solutions provider, which has recently launched its products in the Indian market through a strategic alliance with the Rs. 256 crore ICICI Infotech Services, now gearing up to attach a `made in India' tag on its products and services to be sold in the country.

The company now sources the software through ICICI Infotech and is looking for a suitable partner to outsource hardware.

At a joint press conference with Affiance, S. Sriramane, deputy general manager of ICICI Infotech, said the hardware, if manufactured in India, would enjoy `tremendous cost advantage'.
