According to a press release of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), the bureau nabbed him red-handed when he took a bribe of Rs. 1,000 from a civil assistant surgeon of Community hospital at Pedddapalli for making service entries in his service register.

In another case, an Inspector and a constable of the Prohibition and Excise department were dismissed from service by the Government after they were convicted in a bribe case.

The Inspector, T.S.R. Prasad, and the constable, M. Shiva Prasad, formerly working in Tenali, were earlier trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when they took Rs. 15,000 from a person for not implicating the proprietors of a company in a case booked earlier.
