In another case, an Inspector and a constable of the Prohibition and Excise department were dismissed from service by the Government after they were convicted in a bribe case. The Inspector, T.S.R. Prasad, and the constable, M. Shiva Prasad, formerly working in Tenali, were earlier trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when they took Rs. 15,000 from a person for not implicating the proprietors of a company in a case booked earlier. The Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Vijayawada, had sentenced them to undergo two-year rigorous imprisonment. Following the conviction, the dismissal orders were issued.
